To qualify for the award, a business must be a for-profit or not-for-profit organization, be a privately or publicly held business, be in business for a minimum of one year, have at least one location in LA County, and have a minimum of fifteen employees in LA County. Each company is evaluated based on business environment and anonymously collected employee survey feedback. This year, FPA has received the honor of being named one of the best organizations to work for in Los Angeles in the mid-size category.

Companies from every industry entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in LA. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure employee engagement. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group, a professional firm located in Harrisburg, PA, managed the overall registration and survey process and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

Faye, Pollack & Associates, Inc. was recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in LA awards reception on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, hosted by the Los Angeles Business Journal at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The final rankings were revealed at the lunch gathering to a crowd of nearly 500 business professionals.
